C.TAG/® Subsea Marker
C.TAG/® is a new subsea marker system that facilitates the need for greater surveillance and improved subsea monitoring. With the growth of deepwater oil production in remote and harsher environments, low light and turbid water conditions, C.TAG/® subsea markers can offer greater visibility and easier identification methods for ROV operators.
Benefits include:
- non toxic anti-fouling properties
- high visibility – 5m plus, depending on particle content in water
- damage tolerance – 6mm C.TAG/® can withstand 300% elongation
- operating temperature -40°C to +100°C
- choice of specifications – size, thickness, colour, text, logo and mimic
- variety of fixing methods
- can be bonded to various substrates, steel, PVC, ABS, glass flake, epoxy, neoprene and concrete.
- adhesive is provided in clean "mix in the bag" twin packs in a range of sizes.
The technology behind the non-toxic, anti-fouling performance of the C.TAG/® subsea markers is achieved by the production of a low surface energy face on the marker. This has been backed by a decade of extensive research and development in the base materials, their moulding performance, and the development of a patent-protected manufacturing process. C.TAG/® subsea markers do not contain any biocides and therefore does not affect the marine environment making them non toxic environmental marking solution which is extremely long lasting and maintains its anti-fouling properties for the lifecycle of the marker.
C.TAG/® subsea markers can be used for a wide range of subsea applications, including identification, asset tagging, positioning, orientation, lifecycle support, ROV support and AUV support, and can be installed by Advanced Insulation Systems’ fully trained team of fitters.
